Hill Design Studios principal, Randy Hill has written an article entitled, “The Design of Music” that will be featured in the November edition of kAk magazine. kAk is the largest graphic design magazine of its kind in Russia.

(10-07-08) A logo created by Hill Design Studios has been selected for inclusion in the 5^th edition of LogoLounge 5: 2,000 International Identities by Leading Designers.

The logo that will be featured in the upcoming publication represents the Oregon Valley Boys, a Salem, Oregon area Hank Willams-esque western swing band that Hill plays drums in. The logo Hill created was a collaboration between himself and illustrative designer Von Glitschka. Hill says that the logo was designed to look like it represented a band that had been around for decades, when in fact the Oregon Valley Boys have only been in existence for about two years. "It was a team effort between Hill Design Studios and Glitschka Studios. I created the illustration of Mt. Hood that is in the background of the logo and Von Glitschka used his unique talents to give the logo an added retro look with the typeface and general design."

Hill Design Studios has also been featured in LogoLounge 3.
